I am truly sorry for not posting, though not as sorry as Baxter should be. It has been a busy – but awesome – past few days.
We went shopping yesterday for the 18 month anniversary, and I am pretty sure that I both tired him out and went over the designated shopping allowance for the month. We went to Rosedale to go to the Herbergers and the Marshall Field’s, cause I had a couple of coupons that I wanted to use, and a pair of jeans to return. I ended up using the coupons and getting the Swarovski Christmas ornament that I wanted (it makes the house fill with rainbows!!!!) and was unwilling to pay $60 for, and also some Christmas presents for next year. I decided against jeans shopping at the Marshall Field’s, since Baxter and I were both not feeling too well, and I wasn’t really up for it. I guess we’ll end up going somewhere soon to do that. After that, we went to McDonald’s for lunch, since they had a double quarter pounder deal that Baxter just could not pass up, and went to Dave and Amy’s house to look after their kitties. Lunch was had, as was a break, some Can’t Hardly Wait, and some kitty fun.
After that, we went to the Mall of America. It was awesome. We started on the bottom floor, and walked the entirety of the three floors all the way around. Well, by the top floor, I left Baxter to get his hair cut and completed the circle of the third floor myself, while he hung out in the Bloomingdale Men’s Bathroom, which apparently has a leather couch. (Yes, I thought it was mildly odd myself.) We got the Best Parking Space Ever, though it did involve circumnavigating the MoA’s parking road blocks, but was quite helpful as one trip to the car was made to drop off purchases, after we found a Christmas gift for next year at the Bloomingdales.
Towards the end, while Baxter was getting his hair cut, I went to the Nordstrom’s to be bra fitted, at the recommendation of Bitch, Ph.D. I hadn’t gotten bras in a long time, and I noticed that they did not fit correctly. I couldn’t imagine that I had the size incorrect, since I’ve worn the same bras for a long time, but I was wrong. Anyways, the lady was totally helpful and I had a great time and now I have awesome bras that actually fit and make my bosom area look awesome. I’d tell everyone to check it out, but that would be weird.
Oh, and I had a spectacular treat at the Dairy Queen – the new French Silk Pie Blizzard (well, new to me. Apparently it was introduced in 2004. I am behind on DQ flavors.). It was great, and way worse for me than I could have possible imagined – 960 calories for a medium! I really was not aware that drinks could have that many calories without alcohol, and I do consider the blizzard a drink even though you use a spoon.
The trip to Ikea will have to wait for another time, since I must eat some sort of Chef Boyardee product, stat.

Hey Hey – This is Matt from TragicDemise and I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your link to my Marshall Field’s post. It will be a sad day to see such a recognized icon disappear. (Sadly – I work for May Co which just merged with Federated…So I am the enemy of myself in some weird way, lol.)Hope you have good New Year’s Eve and all the luck in the new year.
[...] so “shopping” mostly occurred on breaks or during lunch. I’ve mentioned this before, sometimes in ridiculous detail (that 2005 one is somewhat mortifying 6 years later). (Also, I [...]
